Makeup Revolution Slogan Palettes || Makeup Geek & Parental Advisory Explicit Content...

I wanted some new palettes from Makeup Revolution for a long time now and I finally decided on these two amazing slogan palettes from their sub-brand I Heart Makeup -

Makeup Geek £7.99

Below you will find photos of the palettes and swatches of different colours.

S P O I L E R  :  T H E Y  A R E  A B S O L U T E L Y  A M A Z I N G ! ! ! !

*DROOL* I love this picture... Look at how perfect the eye shadows are!

Another drool worthy picture, I call this one - 'The calm before the storm...'
Everything in it's rightful place before I played with the colours and swatched them all over my hands and face!!

Both palettes come with a mix of 36 shimmery and matte shades, all of which are stunningly pigmented.
The shimmery shades are especially creamy to apply and have no fall out.

The Parental Advisory palette has the more neutral shades so I would say it will be great as a starter palette and then Makeup Geek is for the more brave of us out there.
I got both because why not and I thought that they would be great used together for doing a neutral eye with a pop of colour. Perfect for creating fun summery looks!

I can't wait to use more of the colours from them. I have to restrain myself each morning when getting ready for work, there are only a certain amount of colours I can pull off at once.

These palettes are so worth the money even if you buy them just to look at!

If you want to see a look using one or both of these palettes please leave a comment below.

Slendertoxtea || Slender Shake (*) ...

Slendertoxtea kindly sent this Slender Shake to me when I requested it after being part of the #bhtwitterparty hosted by The Bloggers Hub.

As I am not a tea drinker, I was very happy to see that they offered other products as well - A shake and Coffee variations.

This shake is made from natural and organic ingredients -

Acai Berry, Soy Bean Germ Extract, Rice Delivered Extract, Ceramide Extract, Coenzyme q10, Low Kcal Sweetener, Hyaluronic Acid, Lactose Milk Sugar, Condensed Milk Powder.

The shake they sent me was the 14 day shake meal replacement (80g). It came with a 5g scoop to measure the amount to mix with water or milk (100-150ml).
I opted for milk as I thought it could also add to my daily calcium intake plus I love milk shakes.
That 100-150ml of shake is around 30kcal and I generally had it for my breakfast.
It was super fast, easy to make and tasted really good.

For the first few days I didn't notice much of a difference in how full I felt afterwards, but after the 3-4th day I started feeling fuller for longer in the morning after drinking my shake.
I was really impressed with how it kept my energy levels up.
I am one of those people who go downhill fast if I don't eat anything in the morning and this really helped me feel full up to lunch and sometimes beyond.
I found that this really helped me snack less as I just wasn't feeling as hungry.

I have lost 2lbs/0.6kg in weight but I'm not sure if it was due to this or the amount I have been going to the gym recently. I have also felt I look slimmer which is a definite plus.

This 14 day Slendershake costs £21.99 and the 28 day shake costs £36.99
If you want something that curbs your snacking, keeps your hunger to a minimum and keeps your energy up then this is for you!

I have looked on their website and found there are two variations of coffee which is definitely up my street and am considering buying one of them to try out soon - Slimming Coffee (£10) and 10 Day Detox Coffee (£8). They also have free UK delivery which is great and saves you a few pounds.

Magnitone Review (*) || #SummerSkin...

'You are 7 days away from incredible skin, with a softer, smoother complexion that looks and feels different.'

Magnitone sent me one of their cleansing brushes called the Magnitone Lucid (*) for testing and reviewing after I was part of a Twitter party hosted for bloggers by The Bloggers Hub.

I was super excited to receive my Magnitone Lucid as I had never used a cleansing brush before.

I chose the colour Sunshine Yellow as summer is coming up and I thought it could brighten my skin as well as my mornings.

As soon as I got it in the post I put it on charge until it was fully charged and then that night started using it as part of my night-time routine.

I take off my make up as I normally would, then I put cleanser all over my face and used the Magnitone on it's normal setting to cleanse my face. After which I just rinsed my face and carried on with my routine of moisturising etc. The cleanser I used is the cleansing bar I received from Sebamed which you can read here.

The Magnitone states that it will help wake up skin and leave it clearer, healthier and brighter looking, whilst evening and smoothing skin tone.

In the box you will get the Magnitone Lucid (of course), a magnetic charger with a normal plug and an adapter (which is great as I am going on holiday next month), a protective cap for the brush head plus instructions which were very helpful and easy to understand.

This product has a lovely shape, is very easy to hold and fits well into the palm of my hand. It comes with a brush head that is deep cleaning but gentle on the skin.

Below you can see it's charging 'Clink', an egg shaped magnet which charges it. Being magnetic it makes the Magnitone waterproof which means you can take it in the shower with you. The charge will approximately 2-3 weeks,

I used the Magnitone every evening for the first 3 nights on it's normal setting and then after that used it both in the morning (in the shower) & evening but on it's sensitive setting.

It has one button which you press to turn it on to the deep cleaning setting, press again for it's sensitive setting and once again to turn it off. It also has a timer so that you don't over do it. It is a 1 minute setting which beeps every 20 seconds to tell you to change the section of your face that you're cleansing. Start at the forehead and then do each cheek. After the 1 minute is up it will automatically switch itself off.

It works using Active Electromagnetic Technology with 10,000 pulsed oscillations p/min -
'More gentle and effective cleansing and exfoliation action (vs. hand washing).

Here are some pictures of my face before I started using the Magnitone Lucid Cleansing Brush.

And here are the pictures of my skin after a week of using it.

I have definitely noticed a difference in my skin and I think you can notice the change in the pictures above. After the week of using it my skin is smoother, more even and I think my blemishes healed faster through using it.
I loved the fact it has a timer, it is very easy to use, I will carry on using it as part of my beauty routine and it will definitely be coming on holiday with me.

If you were wondering about replacement bits -
Brush Head Pack (normal skin) £15.99 for 2
Brush Head Pack (sensitive skin) £15.99 for 2
'Clink' Charging Unit £15.99
Travel Bag £14.99

Here's the link for where you can buy it - MAGNITONE LUCID CLEANSING BRUSH
I have been given a code where you can get 20% off using 'Corinna20'.
Enjoy and get that #SummerSkin!!

Barry M || Sunset Daylight Curing Polish...

Barry M have recently come out with a new range of daylight curing gel-like nail varnishes.

I have always loved the nail varnishes from Barry M as they are affordable, the quality is amazing and the range of colours is incredible.

I was in Boots and couldn't help myself as these were on a buy one get one half price deal and I just really wanted to try them.

The main reason I wanted to test this range out was that every nail varnish hates me, it chips in under a day and never stays on.

There are seven colours to choose from in this range and a special top coat that goes with them.

Do It Like A Nude - A white based nude.
Peach For The Stars - A bright peachy pink/orange.
I've Been Pinkin' - A bright pink.
You Drive Me Navy - An electric navy blue.
Fuschia Generation - A deep fuschia pink.
Can't Get You Out Of My Red - A classic red.
The Way You Make Me Teal - A bright blue/green teal.

I loved the look of all of the colours but in the end I chose the colour Peach for the Stars along with the daylight curing top coat. I may have to go back for the teal colour.

The formulation is like any other Barry M nail varnish and has very good pigmentation and goes on smoothly. I applied two coats of the colour, let them dry and then added the top coat. You end up with gloriously shiney nails.

It dries pretty fast, which I wasn't expecting, so I managed not to smudge anything and it managed to stay on my nails a bit longer than normal nail varnish - a whole 2 days before it chipped!!

You can buy them here from Superdrug, here from Boots and from the Barry M Website
They are £4.99 each which is a little more than their other nail varnish ranges but still a very reasonable price.

I hope you enjoyed this post and also found it useful.

Timeless Truth || Green Tea Soothing Mask (*)...

There is a site for Beauty Bloggers where you can sign up and then request from the brands available, different products to review on your blog - The Bloggers Hub.

I received this mask a while ago but hadn't got round to using it until now. Here's a link to The Beauty Mask's website where you can find all the varieties of face masks they have available.

As I have oily and spot prone skin I chose this Green Tea based mask (*).
The ingredients are Green Tea Extract, Hyaluronic Acid, Aloe Vera Extract and Chamomile.
All of these have; anti-inflammatory, cell protecting & moisturising qualities to them. So great for someone who has oily/spot prone skin but is also worried about the signs of ageing.

I love the fact it is a fabric mask and that you don't have to wash anything off afterwards, which means there is a lot less mess to deal with.

The mask itself looks exactly like the picture on the front of the packaging (below), a checkered green and white fabric mask with holes for your eyes, nose and mouth.

The process is very simple, you put the mask on a freshly cleansed face and leave it on for 20 minutes. During this time you may scare yourself, family members & boyfriends, as it does look like something from a horror film. However once these 20 minutes are up you get to take it off and massage the excess products into your beautifully soft and hydrated face.

My face felt soft, supple and soothed after using this mask.

I've only used fabric face masks a few times but am beginning to enjoy them more than normal face masks.

These Fusion fabric masks cost £4.90 each or £23.50 for a box of 5.
They also have a Luxury mask range which vary in price but are a little more expensive.

I hope you enjoyed this post as much as I enjoyed using it.

First Impressions || Sebamed Clear Face (*) Skincare...

I kindly got sent these after being part of a twitter party organised by The Bloggers Hub where different brands had various products available for us (bloggers) to request. I only requested one of their items but they messaged me saying I was to receive all the items shown on the twitter party which I was very excited about, not only that but I received three of each!

I have been using this Clear Face range by Sebamed for a few nights now and am really enjoying it.

All of these products have a pH balance of 5.5 which is the closest to our skin's natural pH value.

I use the Cleansing Bar first by wetting it and rubbing it into my skin, then I use the Cleansing Facial Toner on a cotton pad to super cleanse my face and lastly the Care Gel to moisturise my face.

First impressions of the Cleansing Bar, which is soap and alkali free, is very soothing and has no smell. The Facial Toner has a slightly sweet yet anti-bacterial smell and feels tingly on blemishes which I love because I know it's doing something. Lastly the Care Gel is also soothing and love using it under my make up as a bit of hydration, as it is a gel I know it won't make my oily/combination skin look greasy.

So far I am very much enjoying this range which you can find for sale here and I really like that it isn't expensive: Cleansing Bar £4,39, Facial Toner & Care Gel are £5.55 each.
I am already eyeing up the other two products in this range to finish of my collection.

I will be doing a follow up post in about a month to update you on how my new routine with these products is going and if I have seen an improvement in my skin.

Thank you for taking the time to stop by and read.
