Adore Me || Lashes & Lingerie + Favourite Lipstick...

I'm really looking forward to summer and this piece of lingerie by Adore Me really caught my eye!

This is called the Cleo Contour, I love the bright summer yellow which I think would really pop against healthy tanned summer skin (which I definitely don't have yet!).

Bring on the sunshine!!

I thought that this set would go well with a no-make up make up look.
Just perfected natural skin and subtle brown shades of eye shadow with a smoked out lash line.
Just let the lingerie do the talking...

One of my most favourite lipsticks is Revlon's super lustrous lipstick in 'Mink'. It is a beautiful neutral brown which is not too light and not too dark. It is my go to colour on most days. I feel this lipstick gives this overall look a bit of an edge. If not just add some lip balm for soft lips.
I like strong brows but you can make yours more subtle than I have in the picture above.

Head over to their website to check out the other sexy lingerie they do!

Primark || Lipsticks...

I have gone through a lipstick buying phase. I've never really worn lipsticks on a day to day basis as I thought it was too much effort but recently I have been really getting into it.

I saw a few YouTube hauls on items from Primark and this made me realise I have never really looked in the beauty section. I swatched a few in store and bought one, then seeing how pigmented they were I went back for more. Their lipsticks range from glossy & hydrating to super matte.

Below you can see the swatches of the lipsticks I have in my collection, they don't have names but I'm sure they won't be too hard to find.

This one is my favourite to wear, it is a dusky pink and is very comfortable on the lips.

This was one of the first ones I bought, a super nude which is almost a bit too blue/grey toned for my skin but I think mixing it with another colour should make it easier to pull off.

This one in gold packaging is the most matte out of all of them, goes on super pigmented but does dry out and get a little uncomfortable. When you look closely this one and the one above have gold glitter in them.

And this last one is my latest acquisition, a similar consistency to the first one, really creamy and feels super hydrating.

They all have a sweet scent to them and are definitely better than I thought Primark lipsticks would be and their packaging is really quite lovely. The prices of these ranged from 80p to £1.50.

Have you tried any recently?

MUA || Luxe Velvet Lip Lacquer...

I do realise my blog is becoming a bit lip product heavy at the moment but what can I say... I'm discovering lots of lovely things recently!

This post is all about the MUA Luxe Lip Lacquer's, more specifically the two colours Kooky & Reckless.

I find these very unique in the type of product they are; super matte and super long lasting.

This is the colour called Reckless, a very intense, bright, blue toned red.

And this is the colour Kooky, a deep berry purple.

I love the packaging, a really classy frosted plastic tube, black lid with gold lettering.
They definitely look like they are worth more than the £3 they cost. They are very pigmented, the pictures are with one layer applied. The doe-foot applicator makes it very easy to create clean lines and a perfect lip shape.

I think these lip lacquers are quite interesting to wear, when you apply they stay tacky for a while (don't press your lips together or you'll end up with uneven colour) but once dry they nearly feel like there's nothing on your lips.
They almost dry to a powdery finish which is a problem if you wanted to add a moisturising layer on top - it doesn't work - basically it ends up crumbling off in odd patches!
This is also the case with eating and drinking with this product on, the inner part of the lip fades quite fast and if you try to reapply it goes crumbly and patchy.
The best thing to do is to remove and start again.
And that brings me to my last point, getting these off. They are quite difficult to remove even with oil based make up wipes.

I know I have said a lot of negative things about this product but I actually think they are great to wear if you don't have to eat anything and like to wear very matte lip products. They will last a good few hours before they start fading.

I have recently bought a third colour to add to this collection and will update with pictures when I get a chance. My new colour is called Tranquility and is a brown based nude.

I have also found out there is another line by MUA called Luxe Whipped Velvet which sound like something I would like to try and might end up on my blog soon!

Have you tried these yet? What did you think?

Makeup Revolution || Lip Lava Swatches & Review...

As soon as I saw these appearing on more and more blogs I knew I had to try them and I have nothing like these in my make up collection so was super excited!

These are Lip Lava's by a sub-brand in Makeup Revolution called I Heart Makeup.

You can either buy these liquid lipstick individually for £2.99 or as a set for £11.96.

"Lip Lava is a super intense liquid lipstick formula with nourishing vitamin E"

I definitely think they live up to everything that they claim. They come in squeezy tubes, are very easy to apply, really comfortable to wear and feel very moisturising.
The sponge tip applicators make it effortless to create the perfect lip shape with clean lines and even super pigmented coverage.

These liquid lipsticks come in five very different shades; Forgiven - a gorgeous brown nude, Tremor - a cute baby pink, Shockwave - an amazingly bright fuchsia purple, Unleash - a super bright coral orange and finally Firestorm - a beautiful blue toned red.

I love all of the shades in this set, some of which are obviously more wearable than others. My favourites are Forgiven, Tremor and Firestorm.

Here are lip swatches of all the shades -

Don't you think all the colours are just amazing!?
Definitely something you need in your make up collection and when you get all 5 for under £12 you can't go wrong.

Thank you for stopping by!

Makeup Revolution || Liphug Lipsticks...

This will be the first of many Makeup Revolution post/reviews this month and definitely more during the year of 2015!!!

I got these in my first haul with the Black Friday deal in December and I thought I would do an up close and personal blog post about them.

I am currently going through a dark lip phase which seems to only lead me to wanting darker colours.

Anyway onto the liphug lipsticks... They come in 20 different shades and I have 3 of them. They cost an amazing £2.50 each and are super pigmented.

The only thing I would change about them is the scent of them, they smell a bit like play-dough but saying that the smell does fade after you apply it and after there is no scent at all.

Below are the lip swatches of the colours I have and I absolutely love wearing them. They are really hydrating and stay slightly glossy. This means they do transfer and wear off faster than matte lipsticks but are really comfortable, hence the name LIPHUG!

With all of the swatches on my lips I did one coat, blotted and then applied a second coat!

This first colour is 'Saviour will Come' and is a muted warm red/plum shade, this is the most wearable and neutral out of the three shades.

The next colour is a vivid blue toned red called 'I am Ready'. Really nice to compliment a natural eye look or thick black statement winged liner.

The last colour is my favourite out of the shades I have, it is also the darkest out of them all. The name of this one is 'Still missing my Baby', a deep brown red.

I am really addicted to this brand and as they keep coming out with new products I'm sure you will see a lot more of Makeup Revolution in the near future.

Have you tried any of their products yet, what are your favourites??

Rimmel London || Provocalips...

I bought these because I had originally bought the red shade for my sister for Christmas. I then got a bit jealous that she had kiss-proof lip colour and I didn't, so I went and bought myself two of the eight shades that Boots had to offer. At the moment I am loving dark lips and I find there are very few shades that I think suit me. I have Play with Fire (red) and Kiss Fatal (purple) both of which I love and have tested out a few times each.

They are double ended, one is the super pigmented liquid lipstick type end and the other is the moisture restoring clear finishing layer. I have found the tips very easy to use and great to shape your lips however you feel like on the day. I do warn you though once it's on, it is on all day; unless you have oil based make up remover with you. So my advice - less is more, apply it slowly and evenly as you can always add another layer after the first has set.

Above I did swatches on my hand, the first picture was taken as soon as it is applied, still glossy and the second picture is after a minute or so when it has set to a demi-matte tacky layer.

Here are swatches on my lips, to the left is Play with Fire; a deep but bright red and on the right is Kiss Fatal; a dusky rose purple. I applied two thin coats of colour and the clear top layer. I think they have a really nice consistency but without the topcoat are quite drying and very sticky.

It says on the Boots website - 'Prococalips delivers hi-impact 16hr endless colour with a delectably glossy finish. It's kiss-proof, food-proof and transfer-proof, only coming off when you want it to...incredibly lightweight and flexible and adapts to the movement of your lips.'

I have tested their longevity and in work I applied the lip product in the morning, wore it all day until I took my make up off before bedtime. It stayed on through eating lunch and dinner, the only part that wore off a bit was on the inner part of my lips. I have also found if you retouch more than twice, layering on top of the previous layers, it can start peeling on the inner lip and get annoying - I kept chewing it off like I had chapped lips.
Apart from that I absolutely love it and if you don't layer too much, you can have perfect, kissproof & comfortably coloured lips all day long. It definitely lives up to what it declares.

What do you think of these two colours, have you tried them? What is your favourite long lasting lip colour at the moment?
