Cruelty Free Eye Makeup Look || Gold and Purple

For today's eye look I wanted to use some shadows I haven't used in a while.. I created a caramel/gold look with a pop of purple. 《Picture below..》All the brands I use and link are cruelty free.

As my base I used my Nyx HD Concealer using my Beauty Blender to blend it out and then set it all using my RCMA No Color Powder.

In the crease I used my Nabla eyeshadow in Caramel, I love this unique colour and Nabla eyeshadows blend super easily. For the subtle gold on the lid I used Makeup Geek shadow in Glamorous.

And now the pop of purple, I used Linda Hallberg Mood Crayon in Daring on the waterline and blended around my outer lash line.

My go to mascara is Catrice Glam & Doll waterproof mascara.

And lastly my brows, I've been trying a different technique lately.. drawing on brow strokes instead of the soft blend I usually do. I always use my Zoeva Wing Liner brush with my Anastasia Beverly Hills Dipbrow in Ash Brown. (Some products I haven't been able to link right now because the Beauty Bay website is down, I will link them as soon as I can) ♡

I had my brows microbladed a year ago and I've loved having a shape alrwady there so doing my brows is super fast, I'm going to let these fade a little more and then next time I get them microbladed, I'm going to try a different shape.

Cruelty Free Eye Makeup Look || Green Orange Yellow

Hey everyone,

I wanted to start blogging again, but in a way I will hopefully enjoy it more. My posts will be short and sweet...ish.

Today's post will be about the products I used to create the makeup look you see below. I post almost daily on my Instagram with my eye makeup looks.

First I used the Nyx HD Concealer with a Beauty Blender to conceal my under eyes and prime my eye lids. I then set it with my RCMA No Color Powder.

All the eye shadows I used are by Makeup Geek Cosmetics - Chickadee in the crease, Lemon Drop on the inner corner, Morocco on the lower lash line, Dirty Martini all over the lid and Enchanted Forest on the outer corner. I get all my Makeup Geek Shadows and a lot of my other makeup from Beauty Bay.

The beautiful Linda Hallberg created her own makeup line. If you haven't watched any of her YouTube videos, you're missing out. I bought her Mood Crayon set which are multi use pencils for eyes, lips, whatever you want really. They're super creamy and set with a smudgeproof finish. I use them in my waterline, usually two layers to get a vibrant finish. The colour of crayon I used for this look is called Likable.

My favourite brow product to use is my Anastasia Beverly Hills Dipbrow in the colour ash brown. And I always use my Zoeva Wing Liner brush to apply it.

When I go to Austria to visit my family, I always love going makeup shopping. I found the brand Catrice does amazing, super affordable mascara. My favourite is the Glam & Doll waterproof mascara; the bristles are rubbery, really grip the lashes and keeps them curled all day long.

Since a friend recommended it to me, I bought the Nyx Epic Ink Liner, I find it really easy to do winged liner with. It has a brush tip, is super black and stays on all day. I don't suffer with oily eye lids so don't have a problem with eye liner smudging or transferring. I get all my Nyx products from my local Boots.

I hope you enjoyed this post,

LiLash & LiBrow Serum (*) ...

I received these off the lovely team at LiLash about 3 months ago and have been using them since for me to review for you now.

They sell 2 different products with 2 different sizes which you can buy here.

LiLash (*)

LiBrow (*)

They came well packaged in a cute box and even came with a diamante handbag sized mirror (above) with the LiLash logo on it. Perfect for checking your make up on the go. Everthing was super high quality.

Above you can the they have different brushes, to the left is the more sturdy LiBrow applicator and on the right is the softer more flexible LiLash applicator. They both are clear serums and the tubes were made of some sort of metal so felt very luxurious.

Below you can see the difference it made over 3 months, I used it pretty much everyday when I remembered to apply it. I did it in the morning before applying my make up, letting it dry fully before putting my make up on.

I have definitely noticed a difference in my eye lashes especially, they are darker and longer. My sister even noticed the difference when I had no make up on, she commented on how dark and long my lashes were looking.

I have HD Brows on a regular basis so am not sure if I have noticed a huge difference from using the LiBrow, but if there is something different about my brows it would be that I now stronger growing brow hairs.

A few things I did notice whilst using LiLash was that when I first started using the serum it made my eyelids a little sore but nothing that didn't bother me, after a few applications it went away.
And the other thing was that my lashes went through phases of sparseness where they had come out, usually one eye at a time; it wasn't like all my lashes fell out, just here and there would be a section of slightly less lashes.
I think this was maybe to make room for new stronger and darker lashes to grow.

They are quite pricey but if you think that one of these tubes will either last you over 3 months for the smaller size and over 6 months for the larger size it doesn't seem so bad. I however do not have that kind of money to repurchase these.

The smaller size is £53.93 for 2.95ml. (around £18 per month for 3 months)
The larger size is £94.37 for 5.91ml. (around £16 per month for 6 months)

Hope you enjoyed this post and found it useful.

My Brow Journey || HD Brows...

I thought I would do a quick post on my brows, from what they were to where they are now through having HD brows done.

Here are pictures of what I looked like 2 years ago and what I look like now. I over-plucked my brows for many years all due to the fact I have a scar in my right brow (left in the picture). I thought plucking to disguise the scar was best, I didn't even think about filling them in.

Then I met my very good friend and HD browist who changed my brow game for good.

My hair is naturally a dark blonde, almost brown colour but my brows are much fairer and as I dye my hair brown I need the brows to match.

Above is what my eyebrows looked like before I started growing them back. Below you can see after growing them for a few months then what they look like after the HD brow sessions.

Here is what my eyebrow looks like (below) without being filled in after my most recent session. You can see where my scar is and this is where I would need to fill. And right at the bottom you can see pictures from on the day of the HD brow session. My last session was a month ago so my eyebrow still had a good shape to it.

Getting HD brows was one of the best things I ever started, it really helps frame the face and make everything look more symmetrical and perfected.

If you live in the South West of England or are near Plymouth definitely contact Aline if you're considering getting them done.

Even if you don't live here, check out her work anyway as she is an amazing make up artist!

What do you do to keep your brows on point and looking good?
Have you ever considered HD Brows?

My Eyebrow Routine || Ultra Aqua Brow Tint...

From having an issue with the delivery of my Anastasia Dipbrow I decided to look for another option. I looked at lots of other blogs and having used lots of Makeup Revolution products (my collection is gathering rapidly) and finally decided to buy the Ultra Aqua Brow Tint which comes in four shades and £3 each.

It says on the website that it is a 'smudge-proof eyebrow tint, that fills, defines and lengthens your brow'. I think it lives up to what it claims but does smudge a little if you touch it too much.
Saying that I haven't had a problem in wearing it all day and still having perfect eyebrows before I take my make up off when getting ready for bed.

I bought two colours to mix together to create my perfect shade of brown to match whatever hair colour I have. Currently I have dark brown ombré with lighter tips but my brow hairs are much more fair, even though I get them tinted through having HD brows. This picture is from my most recent session, picture from my amazing HD brow lady, Aline Kaloudi.

To get my shade of brown I use 1 part of the dark mixed with 2 parts of the light shade which you can see below. I then use my Zoeva 317 Wing liner brush to mix and apply the colour.

Below you can see step by step pictures of the stages I go through to create my brows.

Firstly I create a line from near the front of my brow to my arch.
Then I draw on the shape of the outer part of my brow, the pointed tip.
Using a bit more product I fill in the rest of my brow forming another line but this time on the upper part of the brow and not going all the way to the front.
Finally using what is left on the brush I gently fill in the front part of my brow so it has a natural fade.
Lastly then using a spoolie (disposable mascara wand) I carefully brush my brows though making sure the colour is even and the hairs are going in the right direction.
And that is me set for the day!

I have really enjoyed using this new eyebrow product and feel I can really create great looking brows which last very well during the whole day. I have a scar in my right brow which is very visible if not filled in and this product covers it well as you can see from this final picture.

If you don't have much time to get ready in the morning another product by Makeup Revolution I have used and found to be great is the Brow Arch & Shape which costs £3.50 and comes in four different shades like the Aqua Brow.

Hope you enjoyed this blog post and found it useful, if you have any questions post them below!
Thank you for stopping by.

2014 Favourites || Beauty...

I haven't been blogging for very long but boy what a year it has been!

In this post I shall write about a few of my favourite beauty finds of 2014 and I shall try and keep it short and sweet..

Firstly I would like to talk about my hero against my oily t-zone - milk of magnesia!
You need very little of it and all I do is spread it evenly on the parts of my face that get oily/shiney. Then I use a hair dryer to dry it because most of the time I haven't got the time to just wait around and let it air dry, you will be left looking partially like a ghost. After that I put a silicone based primer like the Maybelline Baby Skin on top which gets rid of the whiteness. And carry on with the rest of my make up routine. You can see step by step pictures in this post here!
This new found product keeps me matte all day long and I don't have to carry or touch up with powder any more!

My favourite brand I found out about and bought many products from is Makeup Revolution.
I did an introduction post here! They basically are the best brand for high quality make up and having a vast range of products to choose from. I especially love their eye shadow palettes which are super creamy. pigmented and really easy to blend! My haul post you can read about here. They regularly have deals on so like them on Facebook to keep up to date.

After testing out a few subscription boxes from the UK, I decided I wanted to venture further afield, so after some research I found Wantable. The best make up subscription box service I have tried. It is a bit more expensive than the one based in the UK but for the extra money you get full-sized, high end products. They also do other boxes; Accessories, Initmates & Fitness.
You can find my November & December boxes linked here!
I have loved every product I've received from them so far!

This here is my new favourite foundation, L'oréal Eau De Teint. As soon as I tested it on my hand in Boots and felt the consistency of it I had to have it. It doesn't have much coverage but it is build-able and is enough to perfect/even out my skin tone for a naturally flawless look. I have oily skin and I use this with my milk of magnesia base which I mentioned above and set it with Rimmel Stay Matte powder and I have great looking skin all day long. My review on it is here.

After seeing many, many tutorials on perfect brows that last all day I had to buy this Anastasia Dipbrow Pomade. It comes in quite a few different shades so I'm sure you'll find one to suit your hair. I have the colour Blonde but have recently dyed my hair a darker colour so haven't been using it, I will be purchasing the colour Medium or Dark brown. Then when I'm in between hair shades I can mix them to match my hair colour & do ombré brows. It really does last all day long, it has held up against accidental eyebrow itching and a sweaty forehead. You can read my blog post here but I'm sure as soon as I get the other shade there will be another follow up post on a step-by-step guide about how to use it.

I have 3 Beauty Gurus that I have been loving this year all linked below.
Lizzie...
Nikkie...
All three ladies are super beautiful and do amazing tutorials/reviews on make up. I love watching their videos because they are all very smiley and easy to watch. They do tutorials from the very basic, how they apply foundation, to step-by-step bold eye looks + everything in between.

And that concludes my beauty favourites of the year, I'm sure I've forgotten a lot of other things but these are the ones that really stood out to me.

Hope you all had a great year & a happy new year!!!! Thank you to everyone who has read my blog so far! Much love to you all!

What products have stood out for you this year? And what are your thoughts on my favourites?

HD Brows....

Ever wanted THE most perfect eyebrows ever! Well the answer is HD Brows by the talented Aline Kaloudi!
I organised a day of pampering today round my mother's house where we had different friends come round and have their eyebrows done.
This is an amazing technique where your brows are - Tinted, Threaded, Waxed and Trimmed - only done by professionals who were trained at a HD Brow school. You will end up with custom tinted brows that suit your face and personality. They are like having an eye lift and can take years of your age - I'm addicted!!

Here are the before and afters of the ladies who came today, mine is the last one, I was taking photos and then forgot to take a photo of my own before so have used the photo Aline took -

Anastasia Dipbrow Pomade...

My brows like most people are nowhere near perfect, I have a scar in one and have started growing them back after over plucking for years.

This year I started having HD brow sessions, where I let my eyebrows grow then have them tinted, waxed, trimmed and threaded to perfectly sculpt them. There will be a proper post about HD Brows coming soon.

Onto the Dipbrow - BEST product I have ever used.

I have the colour Blonde which is a perfect neutral shade with no red or ashy undertones. So really good for any shade of Blonde and Light Brown hair.

Obviously these two pictures were taken on different days, having 2 colours of make up is probably not the best look.
Eye shadows are from the Makeup Revolution Palette.

The brush I used is from the Ecotools mini essentials brush kit. The small angled brush thin yet firm, perfect for creating the perfect brow shape. I only got the Dipbrow recently and still need to perfect using it. What will help is having my 3rd HD brow session so will have a good base to start with and can fill in the sparse areas and my scar. I have oily skin and the pomade stays on amazingly all day, even it I forget and itch my eyebrow it doesn't move. Not that I need it but I sometimes use the Maybelline Brow Mascara to set my brow hairs into place.

I shall be purchasing a darker colour, medium brown, as I have recently dyed my hair dark brown and will use both the colours of Dipbrow to create an ombré brow look.

The pomade is £15 and you get 4g/0.14oz or product and due to it being so pigmented you barely need any. So I definitely think it is worth the money and should last me a very long time.
