Cruelty Free Eye Makeup Look || Green Orange Yellow

Hey everyone,

I wanted to start blogging again, but in a way I will hopefully enjoy it more. My posts will be short and sweet...ish.

Today's post will be about the products I used to create the makeup look you see below. I post almost daily on my Instagram with my eye makeup looks.

First I used the Nyx HD Concealer with a Beauty Blender to conceal my under eyes and prime my eye lids. I then set it with my RCMA No Color Powder.

All the eye shadows I used are by Makeup Geek Cosmetics - Chickadee in the crease, Lemon Drop on the inner corner, Morocco on the lower lash line, Dirty Martini all over the lid and Enchanted Forest on the outer corner. I get all my Makeup Geek Shadows and a lot of my other makeup from Beauty Bay.

The beautiful Linda Hallberg created her own makeup line. If you haven't watched any of her YouTube videos, you're missing out. I bought her Mood Crayon set which are multi use pencils for eyes, lips, whatever you want really. They're super creamy and set with a smudgeproof finish. I use them in my waterline, usually two layers to get a vibrant finish. The colour of crayon I used for this look is called Likable.

My favourite brow product to use is my Anastasia Beverly Hills Dipbrow in the colour ash brown. And I always use my Zoeva Wing Liner brush to apply it.

When I go to Austria to visit my family, I always love going makeup shopping. I found the brand Catrice does amazing, super affordable mascara. My favourite is the Glam & Doll waterproof mascara; the bristles are rubbery, really grip the lashes and keeps them curled all day long.

Since a friend recommended it to me, I bought the Nyx Epic Ink Liner, I find it really easy to do winged liner with. It has a brush tip, is super black and stays on all day. I don't suffer with oily eye lids so don't have a problem with eye liner smudging or transferring. I get all my Nyx products from my local Boots.

I hope you enjoyed this post,
Love Coco x

Beauty || Recent Favourites...

We're already 22 days into 2016, how did that happen?!

I have been thoroughly enjoying my make-up collection, mainly because I received a lot of lovely things for Christmas and I've treated myself to a few things recently as well.

I shall start off with a few new make-up brushes.
I have found a new obsession, the Zoeva Rose Golden make-up brush collection, which as of recently you can buy separately.

I have two go to brushes I use for my brows with brow pomade -
The 310 Spot Liner Brush for doing delicate brush strokes to fill in the front of my brows and the 317 Wing Liner Brush to fill in the rest.

I also got my hands on the Real Techniques Bold Metals Essentials just after Christmas and have been loving the 200 Oval Shadow Brush for a quick all over the lid shading brush if I'm in a hurry.

At the end of last summer I bought my first higher end foundation and was completely blown away by Estee Lauder Double Wear foundation. It's the only foundation that doesn't slide off my oily face.
I've had to buy a white foundation to mix because I went more pale than I thought I would go this winter. So my Manic Panic Dreamtone Foundation in White (Virgin) has been an absolute saviour.
And locking all my make-up into place and getting rid of the powdery look I use the Makeup Revolution Oil Control Fixing Spray.

My absolute favourite mascara has been Maybelline Lash Sensational in Waterproof Black, it applies a decent amount of product and holds my curled lashes all day long with no smudging or flaking.
In November last year I did my first Colourpop haul (see my last blog post for the full haul) so my Super Shock Shadows have been my new go to for fun eye make-up looks. My favourites (which are pictured above) are Central Perk, a deep matte maroon and Kindness from the Metamorphosis collection which is a sheer yet super pretty iridescent purple/blue, amazing for adding on top of darker eye shadow bases for a bit of glam.
Last week I bought my first Maybelline Color Tattoos, I thought they would be great bases for different eye make up looks. I got a range of neutral shades- Creme De Nude, Creamy Beige and Permanent Taupe. (Swatched above...)

These I very much blame Nikkie Tutorials for, my new favourite contour, blush and highlighter for adding some life to my fair winter skin. Swatches below...
NYX Blush in Taupe is a perfect cool toned brown and is subtle enough even for the fairest of skin tones.
Milani Baked Blush in Luminoso is an amazingly versatile blush colour that goes with any make up look.
My new obsession is my Mary-Lou Manizer by theBalm, a gorgeous pale champagne gold.

The two palettes pictured above are by Makeup Revolution, they were a present for Christmas from my boyfriend.

The Hot Spice Blush Palette is  full of amazing warm orange/coral toned colours.
And the Radiance Palette is a beautiful highlighting palette, the colours are more subtle than your usual highlighters and this palette is said to be a close dupe for the Hourglass Ambient Lighting Palette.

And finally these brow pomades by Anastasia Beverly Hills and Freedom Makeup have been my go to for filling in my brows but I shall be doing a more in depth post on these soon...

Thank you so much for reading and I hope you have a perfect 2016!!

SUMMER PROOF BEAUTY || Anastasia Beverly Hills - Dipbrow Pomade in Dark Brown...

I am going to do a short series of Summer Proof beauty products, here is my first product...

I absolutely love this brow product by Anastasia Beverly Hills, I had the blonde colour last year but soon after started wearing my hair darker so I got this colour - Dark Brown - it is quite a neutral brown, great for medium brown to dark brown hair.

I chose this over the Brow Wiz because you get so much more product in this than you do with the Brow Wiz Pencil by Anastasia.

Pomade - 4 grams - £15.00
Brow Wiz - 0.08 grams - £15.50

I got my Dipbrow on Beauty Bay as they offer 11 different shades ranging from blonde to granite and free tracked delivery on orders over £10.

I really like the luxurious looking packaging, a glass container with classy black lid and metallic writing; I also think the logo is really cute.

I took this photos in direct sunlight so you can get a good idea of what the colour looks like and below you will find swatches on my hand and what it looks like on my eyebrows.

I use the Wing Liner Brush by Zoeva to apply it because it is thin but firm so you can create a clean lines with it, I then use disposable mascara wands (cheap off eBay) to soften the edges and blend together, especially near the front.

I have a scar in my right eyebrow which this covers really well and it stays on all day long, even through sweating at the gym.

If you're going to spend money on a good brow product it definitely has to be this as it will last a really long time. Well worth the money!

Hope you found this useful, any questions ask in the comments and I will get back to you asap.

My Eyebrow Routine || Ultra Aqua Brow Tint...

From having an issue with the delivery of my Anastasia Dipbrow I decided to look for another option. I looked at lots of other blogs and having used lots of Makeup Revolution products (my collection is gathering rapidly) and finally decided to buy the Ultra Aqua Brow Tint which comes in four shades and £3 each.

It says on the website that it is a 'smudge-proof eyebrow tint, that fills, defines and lengthens your brow'. I think it lives up to what it claims but does smudge a little if you touch it too much.
Saying that I haven't had a problem in wearing it all day and still having perfect eyebrows before I take my make up off when getting ready for bed.

I bought two colours to mix together to create my perfect shade of brown to match whatever hair colour I have. Currently I have dark brown ombrĂ© with lighter tips but my brow hairs are much more fair, even though I get them tinted through having HD brows. This picture is from my most recent session, picture from my amazing HD brow lady, Aline Kaloudi.

To get my shade of brown I use 1 part of the dark mixed with 2 parts of the light shade which you can see below. I then use my Zoeva 317 Wing liner brush to mix and apply the colour.

Below you can see step by step pictures of the stages I go through to create my brows.

Firstly I create a line from near the front of my brow to my arch.
Then I draw on the shape of the outer part of my brow, the pointed tip.
Using a bit more product I fill in the rest of my brow forming another line but this time on the upper part of the brow and not going all the way to the front.
Finally using what is left on the brush I gently fill in the front part of my brow so it has a natural fade.
Lastly then using a spoolie (disposable mascara wand) I carefully brush my brows though making sure the colour is even and the hairs are going in the right direction.
And that is me set for the day!

I have really enjoyed using this new eyebrow product and feel I can really create great looking brows which last very well during the whole day. I have a scar in my right brow which is very visible if not filled in and this product covers it well as you can see from this final picture.

If you don't have much time to get ready in the morning another product by Makeup Revolution I have used and found to be great is the Brow Arch & Shape which costs £3.50 and comes in four different shades like the Aqua Brow.

Hope you enjoyed this blog post and found it useful, if you have any questions post them below!
Thank you for stopping by.

Zoeva || Classic Eye Brush Set...

I have heard a lot of good things via YouTube and other Blogs about the Zoeva Brushes, so they ended up in my wishlist and Santa (my darling Mother) was kind enough to bring me this gorgeous brush set this Christmas.

This set of 6 brushes and is called the Classic Eye Brush Set which comes with a very stylish & cute clutch bag to keep them in; the inside of the clutch is a vibrant fuchsia pink. The brushes are made with both natural and synthetic bristles.

This is the Wing Liner brush which is perfect to use with any gel or powder liners. It is made with nylon bristles and is firm yet soft. I also think this would be a good brush for using cream eyebrow products like the Anastasia Dipbrow.

This is called the Luxe Smokey Shader which has soft densely packed natural goat hair bristles. As the name suggests it is great for smokey eye looks, a perfect fit for smoking out the lower lash line and I found it good for adding colour to the mobile lid.

The Brow Line Brush is next; a very short slightly angled brush (taklon bristles) which is brilliant for creating the perfect arch. I also think it would be great for packing on a powder on the lash kine for a more natural liner.

This brush, the Luxe Petit Crease brush (goat hair bristles) fits perfectly in the crease and gives precise blending for transition & contour shades in the crease of your lid.

The Luxe Soft Definer brush (goat hair bristles) is great for blending out any harsh lines between colour transitions.

This last brush is the Fine Liner brush (nylon bristles) and is the perfect brush for accurately applying any cream, gel or liquid liners. It's angled head is great for getting close to the lash line.

This is a great quality brush set and would be a perfect starter for anyone new to make up, it has all the brushes needed to create natural to more bold & creative looks!

Which brushes do you use and what are your thoughts, I would love to hear them?
