Makeup Revolution Haul || Correct, Contour, Blush, Highlight...

After many months of being a good girl, I decided I would take advantage of the offer Makeup Revolution had on their website... 3for2 on everything!! I am very sorry to say that this deal is now over. *sad face*

On a quick side note I got a new phone recently, the Samsung Galaxy S6. It has an amazing camera so all the photos you see on this blog post are taken using it. I wanted test it and I am very impressed.

I read about the new corrector palette and their contour palette on so many other blogs, so naturally I added these straight to my basket. In this post you will find photos and swatches of the products I bought.

Let's start with the base, the colour correction palette.
It has 8 different shades, each with it's own job.

Pink - Brightens
Lavender - Neutralises yellow tones
Green - Neutralises redness
Peach - Balances out slight discolouration
White - Adds natural highlight
Cream - Neutralises purple/dark areas
Brown -  Balances a shines in darker skin tones

The colours are super creamy, very opaque and pigmented.
I have no pictures when them in use on my face yet, but I think I'll do a whole 'makeup routine' blog post using these products in the next month.

Onto the contour palette... Being quite pale most of the time I do need some help with making my face look a little more alive and healthy. Again these are super pigmented, especially the darker colours and the shimmery highlights. I love using the colour second in from the left at the bottom for contouring, a great more neutral brown, perfect for paler skin tones.

I LOVE THIS BLUSH PALETTE!

Look at the amazing colours. If you are on the paler side, be super careful when using the deeper colours as they damn pigmented and you can end up with very colourful cheeks... Believe me, I went there a few days ago!

The next product that made it into my basket is this triple baked highlighter.
Ok, yes I did buy this because of the packaging...so cute.
I have a few highlighters from Makeup Revolution and this is the most difficult to go overboard with.
I have found it is easier to use my finger to apply this one whereas with the other ones I have I use a brush.

I have had my eye on this Rose Gold Foil for so long, it was always out of stock when I went to buy it in the past, but I finally have it.

It is glorious!

I saw Nikkie from NikkieTutorials use it as an inner corner highlight in one of her videos, so that is how I have used it so far. I am excited to do a full eye look with it though.

The swatch on the left is it straight out of the pot using a small brush, the one on the right is it mixed with the Liquid Eye Primer that comes with it.

And finally I bought their Oil Control Fixing Spray to set everything once I have piled all of the above make up on my face.

Ultra Base Corrector Palette £6.00
Ultra Contour Palette £8.00
Ultra Blush and Contour Palette - Sugar and Spice £6.00
I ♡ Makeup Blushing Hearts - Goddess of Love Highlighter £4.99
Awesome Metals Eye Foils - Rose Gold £4.00
Pro Fix Oil Control Fixing Spray £5.00

I hope you enjoyed my post and then go on to buy all of these amazing products.
Happy shopping!

Benefit || Hoola Bronzer...

I had never tried this bronzer before but had heard lots of great things about it. I saw Benefit was doing a give-away on Twitter so I thought I may as well join in and see if I win .. and I did (!!) so I thought I would do a quick blog post about it.

Benefit were very lovely and the delivery of it was very fast, I was super excited to receive it.

Here's a link to their twitter as they are always doing give-aways!
#howdoyouhoola

I love the cute box packaging and it comes with the most adorable brush which you can see in the top photo, the perfect sculpting brush.

The colour is a neutral brown shade and is the perfect contour colour for people with pale skin, who need a little help with warming up their skin tone. I will definitely use it more during the winter months as I go quite far into the pale end of the skin spectrum.
However I won't need it as much in the summer as I can usually get a pretty good tan.

I really like that you can make this as subtle as you like for an all over warmth or build it up for a deeper contour. Here is a swatch of it on my hand.

Even though it can be quite subtle it is pretty pigmented and you don't need much for each application. So I think if you do buy it, it will last you a very long time.

You can buy it for £23.50 from Boots.

Hope you enjoyed my brief review of this cute bronzer!

Makeup Revolution || Flawless Matte Eyeshadow Palette...

I recently bought this eye shadow palette as I really wanted a full matte palette.
I got this from Makeup Revolution and is called Flawless Mattewhere you get 32 matte shades ranging from creamy whites, browns to black. The perfect palette to to create natural or more smokey looks. It also comes with a massive mirror.

I swatched a few of my favourite colours -

1. Nut - a yellow toned hazelnut brown.
2. Muse - a skin toned dusky pink.
3. Rosewood - a deeper more brown toned dusky pink.
4. Warm - a red toned dusky pink.
5. Rust - a rusty pastel orange.
6. Olden - a warm brown.
7. Earth - a deeper nut brown.
8. Carbon - a carbon black like the name suggests.

I love this palette and I feel it is my new favourite as it's the one I keep going to every morning. My absolute favourite colour out of the above shades is Rust, having green eyes it makes them pop and is a great colour for making a warm smokey eye.
All the colours in this palette are soft, silky, pigmented and super easily blended.

In the same order I bought a few of their new make up brushes. From left to right, E101 Pro Eyeshadow Brush, E102 Pro Eyeshadow Contour Brush and E103 Pro Eyeshadow Blending Brush.

I have really enjoyed using these brushes and they do exactly what they're made to do. I have used the eyeshadow brush, which is quite small and firm to build up colour and also works great along the lash line. The contour brush is the perfect shape for fitting in the crease of the eye. and the blending brush is great for finishing off any make up look by blending away and harsh lines.
All their brushes are made from fine synthetic bristles. They also have brushes for the face and brush cleaning products.

Check their 'NEW' section of their website as they are always adding to their growing collection of amazing products.
