Yo! Sushi Blogger Event || Plymouth Drake Circus...

I don't have it often but I absolutely love Yo! Sushi, it's a treat for me so when I recently got invited to a local Yo! Sushi blogger event I gladly accepted. I walk through Drake Circus everyday I go to work so usually end up craving Yo! Sushi quite often.

We were allowed to bring a plus one so naturally I brought my boyfriend along. Greeted with a cute glass of bubbly, we got sat in booths with the other bloggers and partners.

If you have never been to Yo! Sushi, most of the food goes round on a conveyor belt and you just grab a plate when you see what you like. If you want any of the warm food options, you simply press the button at your table and you can order with the person who serves you. When you're full of delicious sushi, your plates get added up, you pay and then leave gloriously happy.

Their pricing is very easy to follow as all the plates are colour coded, different colours are different prices, ranging from around £2 to £6. Or they do Blue Mondays where everything is one price which is usually when I end up going, see their other offers here.

If  you don't have time to sit down and eat, they also do takeaway options which taste equally as amazing. But if you want the full Yo! Sushi experience I would highly recommend taking the time to sit in and eat.

I already have a few favourites from going there a few times. Here are a few of the plates my boyfriend and I had. My boyfriend is quite new to sushi so I help him by pointing things out I know he'll like, sometimes he's brave and goes for something new and interesting.

Here's the link to their menu

My favourites include the California Hand Roll (2), Ebi Fry (3), California Rolls (4), Hoisin Duck Rolls (1). The bottom two are the Spicy Chicken Roll (6) and the Hoisin Duck Steamed Bun (7).

I also like the deserts they have, this time I went for the Apple Gyoza & Salted Miso Caramel which is pictured below (5), something I haven't had before and it tasted very good. I love that they do hot and cold food, I usually have a mix.

I really like the fact the food is made there and then in front of you. They source their fish sustainably and get it delivered daily so you know it's fresh.

I do hope you found this post useful and enjoyed the fun photos. I would definitely recommend going to your nearest Yo! Sushi and giving it a go. The staff are super nice and very helpful if you have any questions whilst you're there.

Acrylic Nails || Nail Candy Plymouth...

I recently got my first acrylics at Nail Candy Plymouth and safe to say I am in love...

I am forever pinning on Pinterest so had lots of ideas for what I wanted.

It was a typically rainy day, I walked into the salon and was greeted with lots of smiley faces.
I had the lovely owner Meghan doing my nails; I showed her my ideas and I chose this design using coloured foils.

The total time to do my nails was 2 hours. Because the salon had a lovely relaxed atmosphere, we were all chatting away that I didn't notice the time flying by.

The reason I wanted acrylic nails was that my nails always broke when they got past a certain length.

Meghan did my nails using forms which means no ruining my natural nails by sticking tips on.
She did a natural coloured acrylic base and then added the black using shellac. After she had set the last layer of black shellac, she used the tacky layer to stick on the coloured foils. Once I was happy with the design she sealed it all with a top coat.

One of the reasons I wanted my nails done at Nail Candy is the fact they create super natural looking acrylics, they aren't bulky like I've seen a lot elsewhere.
The ladies there are really lovely and professional, they make you feel very welcome.
They offer a variety of services like feather hair extensions and henna.
You can find more information & prices on their website -

I will definitely be going back to get refills and a new design in a few weeks.

Doll White || Teeth Whitening Strips (*) ...

I got sent these Doll White Teeth Whitening Strips to try out so I wanted to share my thoughts.

These are non-peroxide whitening strips so it is suitable for people sensitive to it. I didn't have any irritation during my week of using them, any slight irritation I did have, went away after 10 minutes.

I got sent the 7 day pack, you can also get 14, 28, 42 and 56 day packs. I used it every evening around 9 o'clock. I would brush my teeth, put the strips in, then take of my make up and do a face mask or something. Usually whilst watching YouTube videos. I always set a timer on my phone or watched a video or two that would last 30 minutes. Half an hour is the amount of time you leave them in for.

The strips themselves are quite squishy but were easy to use. After I did my teeth, I dried my teeth and pressed on the strips. There is a bigger sized one for your top teeth and a different shaped one for you lower teeth. I overlapped them around the edges of my teeth and pressed them into the gaps so that the product adhered to my teeth and there wasn't any air gaps. The strips have a slight minty flavour which I found quite pleasant.

Taking them out was pretty gross, I'm not really a fan of slimy things. Don't panic it really wasn't that bad, but basically you peel them off and you're left with the gooey residue stuck to your teeth. I found it easiest to use my toothbrush and brush it off then rinse my mouth.

I didn't have the most stained teeth beforehand but after the 7 days I saw a some lightening of the pale yellow bits of my teeth. On the site it says you should notice a difference after 14 days of using it. I tried to take a before and after photo but you couldn't see a difference in the photo, I'm sure after another week there would have been noticeable whitening.

I would definitely use these again because they didn't irritate my gums and they aren't pricey which means even if you're on budget you could treat yourself to a pack every now and then.
All in all they were very easy to use and I really liked using them.

I hope you found this post useful.
Any questions you have, ask away.
